Development of a scanning system for the Nd:YAG laser LIDAR

The Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system is bound to make a difference in the field of research. The LIDAR system is found to have inexhaustible function but with its present disposition in the Philippines, its uses become limited. The DLSU Physics Department's LIDAR system is very restri...

Carpio, Patricia Anne O. Co, Christopher C. Ong, Ferdinand D. The Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system is bound to make a difference in the field of research. The LIDAR system is found to have inexhaustible function but with its present disposition in the Philippines, its uses become limited. The DLSU Physics Department's LIDAR system is very restricted because it can only scan at one point and is time consuming. With this impasse, the proponents developed a LIDAR scanning system that can be controlled by a Microsoft Windows-based program. The system is capable of scanning both its azimuth and colatitude axis with a resolution of at least 1º. It was made to be mobile hence LIDAR experiment at different locations is possible. With these improvements, the thesis hopes to achieve progress in the field of research that would eventually improve the life of the people as well. 2001-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14526 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Lasers Optical radar Automatic control
