It deals with the design and fabrication of a machine that shall automate textile inspection in Cutter Exchange Manufacturing. As the Automated Fabric Inspector Machine aims to detect damages such as holes and runs in textiles, it uses several techniques in lighting, video rendering as well as in computer vision system. This project also presents the design and components used for the machine's mechanical and electrical system as well as its software. A wide range of similar machine has been available in the worldwide market, yet they are too costly for local small to medium garments/textile companies to purchase. In the Philippines, garments/textile companies prefer the use of different manual inspection processes which are prone to human errors. With the introduction of an Automated Fabric Inspection Machine, labor cost may be reduced, as well as errors in the inspection process. This then may improve the quality of local textiles, thus making the Philippine textile companies more competitive. 2003-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14558 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Textile fabrics Quality control--Automation Engineering inspection--Automation
