De La Pena, Mary Rose E. Miguel, Legil Danzen D. Tansengco, Jose Eduardo M. Vitanzos, Angelo T. Nowadays, there are different well-known applications for wireless technology and automation. Some of these examples are water quality monitoring using RSSI for navigation and for automation. Profiling and monitoring the condition of bodies of water especially lakes where industries surrounding it are very important to maintain its cleanliness. It is necessary to monitor the condition of the water to be able to sustain marine life and also our lives. This paper focuses on the design and implementation of a microcontroller based automated watercraft using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) for navigation in lake water quality monitoring. The project consists of a Mobile station or the watercraft that will measure the water quality parameters such as temperature, pH level, and turbidity and the Base station that will be used for data acquisition, emergency purposes, and reading and viewing the contents in the memory card. The mobile station is comprised of the microcontroller, RF transceiver with RSSI, sensors, power supply, and DC motors. The base station is comprised of a laptop, RF transceiver with RSSI, microcontroller, graphical user interface (GUI) embedded on the laptop, and emergency push button. These two stations communicate with each other via the RF transceiver. The data are acquired through the sensors which will be then saved through the memory card at the same time the data gathered will be flashed through the GUI.a 2010-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14582 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Lakes--Philippines--Monitoring Water quality management Water quality monitoring stations
