Summary: | Golf has been one of the popular sports in the Philippines. One skill that is important in golf is driving, wherein the player should be able to tee off the golf ball as far as he can to reach the desired destination. For this skill to be developed, players train on driving ranges, where they repeatedly tee the golf balls on the field. This activity leaves a tedious and unsafe task of collecting the golf balls on the field, as it is needed. Hence, our group decided to come up with a tele-operated wheeled mobile robot or GoFeR.
GoFeR shall be maneuvered by a remote control system with the operator safely from a distance. A camera will be used to aid the perception and collection of balls by the robot (Gofer). |
