Description
Summary:A manual transmission uses a clutch pedal to shift gears in order to move the car. A manual transmission is considered efficient in performance - if driven with correct engagement and disengagement of clutch however the use of a clutch pedal is very demanding to the driver especially in stop and go traffic conditions. The automatic transmission automatically shifts gears with the use of planetary gears. A major disadvantage of automatic transmission is its performance compared to a manual transmission due to power losses brought by torque converters. The Clutchless Manual Transmission takes the advantages of both manual and automatic transmissions. It eliminates the use of a clutch pedal but still provides control and high performance to the driver. It automates the clutch of a manual transmission using microcontrollers thus providing smooth transitions and avoids vehicle bucking.
