Summary: | Full duplex communications enable simultaneous exchange of information between two parties. This technology has become part of daily life through the mobile phone. However, the limitations of mobile phones such as the absence of signals in remote areas bring about the need for a robust and reliable communication system. Although the two-way radio has satisfied this need, it is restricted to transmitting and receiving information one at a time. The concept of Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is used in this study which will enable an ordinary two-way radio to send and receive information simultaneously on a single channel, thereby emulating full-duplex operation. |
