Description
Summary:Embedded systems and the internet go hand in hand these days, although most of them are geared towards entertainment and socializing. Devices geared towards education are not so abundant. Combining an LCD touch screen, a WiFi module, an audio module, a MCU, and a server, a modern device for education is created. The device’s purpose is to serve as an E-Learning tool for students using audio as the media. It aims to play audiobooks, audio lectures, and notes related to school to help students learn more. The device uses the LCD touch screen to display the available audio and playlist created. The WiFi uses UDP and network sockets to connect to the server to access the audio data. The audio module, using an OCPWM, plays the audio chosen by the user. All of these components are controlled by the MCU and the timing is maintained by the OS.
