Ortigas, Faye Leonie A. Venugopalan, Shruti Modern times allow industries to thrive with the use of the latest technology. Almost all industries have adapted to the latest technological advancements to increase their proficiency. The paint mixing industry is one of them. There is little known about the industry and how much manual work contributes to its accuracy. Manual work requires subjective evaluation of the output of the mixing process this evaluation relies on personal judgment only. This is why it is important to establish a paint mixing process that excludes as much manual work as possible. Therefore, an objective and technical approach is preferred. Bigger industries that incorporate paint mixing, such as Ace Hardware and Handyman, have machines that cancel out manual labor done during the paint mixing process. However, smaller industries have nowhere to turn to for cheaper alternatives. Almo Painter Center is one of those smaller industries in need of an alternative paint mixing process. Their paint mixing process takes up a lot of space and time. These factors greatly contribute to their productivity. Hence, the goal of this thesis paper is to provide an economical approach to paint mixing. The system makes use of only five colors to create the desired paint asked of the system. It is constructed using a user-friendly interface which allows the user to choose from the database or via scanning an image of their desired color. After which, the system sends signals to the microcontroller to activate the hardware which dispenses and mixes paint. The system is able to produce a paint sample identical to the chosen input with an accuracy of at least 90%. 2010-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14669 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Paint mixing Mixing machinery Paint industry and trade
