Narciso, Alexis Neal B. Polines, Eugene T. It should be noted that up till now, there is continuous battle between the military and the rebels in our country. Consequently lives of the soldier are always at stake and casualties continue to increase. In line with this present situation, a system was developed which knows the condition of the soldier in the battlefield: A system which uses vital sign sensors employing communication protocol called Zigbee technology. The system that was developed aimed to measure two vital sign parameters: body temperature and heart rate. A LM35-based temperature sensor was used to measure the body temperature. Aside from that, a heart rate sensor was utilized to monitor the heart rate of the person. The outputs of these sensors were fed into the input pins of the IRC Slimboard, a module which utilizes the on-chip peripherals of the Z8F6421 Zilog Microcontroller. Through this module, the corresponding triage level of the user is obtained. The triage level is transferred to and sent wirelessly by the Xbee Pro Development Board which houses the Xbee Pro Module. The triage level is received by the Xbee Pro Module on the receiver mote, processed by the IRC Slimboard and displayed into the LCD. 2010-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14684 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Vital signs Vital signs--Measurement Body temperature--Measurement Heart beat--Measurement Physical diagnosis |
