The impact of public health expenditure on the regional economic growth of the Philippines: A dynamic panel data model

The researchers employed a dynamic panel model to determine the effects of health in the economic growth of the Philippines. Exploratory research was used to find out the Philippines’ economic and health information data. In-depth study and research were conducted to determine sources of health advantages across regions and determined the relationships of health and growth. Using regression analysis, the researchers found out that health policies, expenditures and other health indicators are the main drivers of growth in the sector. The study stresses the importance of public health investment on the country’s economic performance which drives the improvement on education and outputs through healthier people.
