The tendency of every composer-musician is to look for new relationships of tones and sounds which best fits the meanings he wants to communicate to both listeners and participants. This is known to be the creative process in music which is affected by many factors eg. psychological, cultural, social, and musical. In this study, the researchers concentrated on the psychological aspect of music creativity. Since music requires the function of the mind in order to organize new relationships of tones and sounds that the composer-musician communicates meaning of his concepts, ideas, actions, emotional states, and experiences in life particularly experiences involving social interaction, the researchers took the priority of looking into intelligence and self-concept as two of the main psychological factors of music creativity. Hence, this study presents a comparison between a musically-creative group and a non-creative group on the basis of intelligence and self-concept. 1982-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/15101 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
