Summary: | This paper presents a study concerning the decimal expansions of rational numbers, in particular, those rational numbers r, such that 0 r 1.These decimal expansions have their own unique patterns and are governed by certain theorems. Such theorems were complied, organized, analyzed and proven. Examples and illustrations have been provided for better understanding of those theorems. In addition, the theorems have been verified by a program created to show the behavior of the decimal expansions of rational numbers. Conjectures about the patterns of the decimal expansions are made. Two of these conjectures are proven as theorems. |
