This study is an exploratory-descriptive study, which makes use of both the survey and the key informant interview. A total number of (40) forty respondents were asked to answer the survey, (20) twenty from the second generation and (20) from the third generation. From each of the (20) twenty respondents, (10) ten were males and (10) ten were females. The results of the study revealed that social distance towards Filipinos exists in both the second and third generations. However, the degree of social distance was greatest along the economic dimension, followed by the cultural and the social dimension. The study also revealed that the second generation Chinese-Filipinos showed a greater degree of social distance towards Filipinos than the third generation along the social and economic dimensions. However, along the cultural dimension, the third generation showed a greater degree of social distance than the second generation. Qualitative data reveal that demographic factors, such as the respondents' place of birth, place of residence, age, citizenship and educational attainment are related to the degree of social distance. 1992-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/16191 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Social distance Filipinos Chinese in the Philippines Conflict of generations--Cross-cultural studies Culture conflict XX4 Generations
