Santos, Reginald Alain R. Zamora, Katrina B. This study aimed at discovering the differences between the gambling motivations, attitudes and behavior of LOTTO bettors in Metro Manila. The profile of the respondents, the reasons why they bet in the lottery, the attitudes of LOTTO bettors towards gambling, the strategies they adopt in betting in the lottery and the difference in the gambling motivations, attitudes and behavior of LOTTO bettors according to sex, age, civil status and income were determined by attaining 100 LOTTO bettors, 50 males and 50 females. The research design used was the accidental or convenience quota sampling technique. The researchers found out that sex, age, civil status and income have very little effect on the gambling motivations, attitudes and behavior of LOTTO bettors. In terms of the gambling attitudes and behavior of those who bet in the lottery, the acceptance of the respondents towards gambling is indistinct and in terms of gambling motivations and behavior, the respondents still engage in the LOTTO even though they have never won before in any draws. Also personal reasons are the strongest motivational factors which affect the respondents gambling behavior. Familial motivational factors on the other hand are very weak for it did not affect the respondent's gambling behavior. 1996-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/16332 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Gambling Wagers Lottery winners Attitudes (Psychology) Lotto Motivation (Psychology) Deviant behavior Betting |
