A software package for computing exposures in insurance
This thesis discusses some of the different methods of computing exposures which are needed in the computation of mortality rates. These methods may be classified into two types, namely individual exposure and group exposure. The individual exposures are computed using either the seriatim method or...

This thesis discusses some of the different methods of computing exposures which are needed in the computation of mortality rates. The individual exposures are computed using either the seriatim method or the grouped individual record method. On the other hand, the group exposures are computed using the valuation schedule formula. This is either the single diagonal formula or the double diagonal formula.
The researchers created a computer program to increase the accuracy of computing exposure. A gathered data from an insurance company are used as examples to run the program. However, it is still important that the basic knowledge of actuarial concepts is known by the user so he can proceed to a higher learning of the study of this field. |
