Description
Summary:This thesis presents in detail two different methods of computing Euler s constant, by using Harmonic series and the other, by using Taylor's formula. Each of these methods proved the existence of Euler's constant. Examples are also given to approximate Euler's constant using the Harmonic series. All of the formulas stated in this thesis are results given by John V. Baxley in his article Euler's Constant, Taylor's Formula and Slowly Converging Series . The researchers provided the step by step computations that lead to the formulas because they were not shown by the author in the said article.
