Description
Summary:College of Computer Studies-Thesis Information System (CCS-TIS) is a system that will assist the thesis programs of each specialization of the College of Computer Studies of De La Salle University. The main modules of CCS-TIS are thesis library, thesis guidelines and thesis monitoring. The thesis library module will help students and faculty members of the college in looking for particular topics from the thesis abstract library. All overviews of existing thesis since 1990 are being kept in a database in which can be accessed by the students and other possible users through a computer terminal in the G306 computer laboratory. Each thesis document in the thesis abstract library will be assigned with a unique identification number. This identification number will help the student in locating a particular document in the archive. Included in this module is a proposed borrowing-returning system of existing thesis from the archive. "The thesis guideline module will help student to view all the existing thesis guidelines of each of the three specialization. While the thesis monitoring module will assist the three thesis coordinators in their thesis responsibilities from assigning advisers to scheduling of defenses. A proposed new system will also be introduced by CCS-TIS for each specialization."
