Description
Summary:This study was created to evaluate the feasibility of a proposed business undertaking, which is to produce and sell garment organizers. To determine if the project is feasible, different aspects of the project have been considered. As such, various sub-studies have been completed, namely: market study, technical study, management and legal study, financial study, and socio-economic study. Each sub-study focuses on a particular area of the project. The market study determines that there is demand for the product. This was determined through the analysis of data obtained through a survey questionnaire. Furthermore, the study identifies the marketing mix that should ideally be adopted by the group to position their product. The preferences of the population of the study were used as basis to identify the appropriate marketing mix. The technical study determines that the group is capable of producing the garment organizer given the required resources, costs, and available production time. This portion of the study develops the necessary procedure in manufacturing the product. Along with this, the needed materials, tools and equipment were determined, as well as their sources. Other factors related to production were also considered and determined such as plant layout, plant site etc. Ultimately, the study shows that the project is technically feasible since the production capacity of the group is above the break even points. The management and legal study brings to life the structure of the organization that will be formed by the project. It determines that a corporation will be the form of organization that will be established by the group. Furthermore, it sets legal and reasonable rules and regulations to be followed and names positions to be filled in the company. A time table of the project was also developed. The financial study makes projections about the results of business operations in terms of income, and the financial standing of the business at different future points in time. Projected financial statements are included, and these show that the proposal can be profitably undertaken. This study also gives importance to the social desirability of the project in evaluating it. This is the concern of the socio-economic study. Each of the specific studies point out that the project is feasible, which supports its recommendation that the proponents proceed to actual operation of the business.
