Sia, Jeanette E. Sy, Leny Teng, Christine Yu, Heidi Yao The study on the concept of a CD Pouch is made to determine the marketability, technical, organizational, management and legal, financial aspects of the business. Moreover, it aims to determine the socio-economic implications of manufacturing and marketing of CD Pouches. A sample of the primary market consisting of students from Ateneo de Manila, Centro Escolar University, St. Scholastica's College, University of Asia and the Pacific and University of Santo Tomas were studied. These students include males and females whose ages range from 15-26 years. Based from the survey conducted, it was revealed that there is an existing demand for CD Pouches. Using the results from the survey and the time and motion study undergone by the proponents, a 1.84% market share was determined. Two colors of CD Pouches will be produced, namely black and blue. Nylon cloth will be used to produce the pouches. The other raw materials are cardboard (chipboard), leatherette, zipper, slider, smoked plastic sheets, binding tape, logo, Chicago screw and rigid plastic sheet. Assembly-line method will be employed in the manufacturing process. The minimum production capacity is 12 CD Pouches per production day and 48 CD Pouches per month. The total production cost for one unit is P 86.01. On the other hand, the selling price/unit is P 250. In order for the company to break-even, they have to produce 80 CD Pouches or be able to sell up to the amount of P 20,000. The form of ownership to be used would be a corporation. Pouchamacallil is the corporate name. It is composed of nine members with a capitalization of P 15,300. The general administrative program will serve as a guide on how the business will be conducted. To achieve efficiency in the operation of business, the project timetable will be followed as to guarantee that specific tasks are accomplished strictly within certain time limits. Moreover, with the capitalization of P 15,300, the Projected Net Profit after tax of 48,251.40. The Return on Investment is 14.01%. This measures the overall effectiveness of management in generating profits with its available assets. Based from the study conducted, it can be concluded that it is feasible to produce CD Pouches for the target market because of its profitability. Moreover, the existing demand for the product further substantiates this conclusion. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/16676 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
