Thirty-five FOBAP members participated in this research, comprising 65% of the total population. A five-point Likert Scale, measuring the different attitude of local exporters, was used to analyze data. (This instrument was adapted from a former study done by Isabel Melgar in 1989). Through Factor Analysis, four behavioural-constructs were derived, namely: Aggressiveness, Adaptability, Time-Orientation and Trustworthiness. Every construct measures a certain behavior and attitude of the local exporter. Means for every factor was derived. These determined the strengths and weaknesses of local exporters as perceived by FOBAP. Overall results show neutrality on the performance of local exporters. The researchers also attempted to explain the outcomes. In their attempt, they were able to identify possible contributory factors such as: culture, history, Filipino traits, and management style. These factors directly and indirectly contributed to the current attitude of local exporters. For further analysis, a comparative study on the previous study done by Melgar and the present study, was made. Results show no significant differences. 1993-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/16826 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
