This study focused on the types of package used for over-the-counter pharmaceutical products. The researchers' main objectives was to provide baseline information on the types of package used by pharmaceutical companies and those that are preferred by customers. Through storechecks, interviews and surveys, they were able to identify the different types of packages in the pharmaceutical industry (i.e. glass, plastic, blister pack, strip foil as the major types of packages for over-the-counter pharmaceutical products) the percentage of distribution of these packages (wherein glass with 29.17%, was found to be the dominant type of package used in the pharmaceutical products) the suppliers and their production share in the industry, (results of which showed that San Miguel Corporation had the greatest share in the market) the hypothesized price differences between pharmaceutical products of the same form packed in different types of packages, (wherein the results of the interviews showed that those packed in large quantities are cheaper than those that are individually packed) and the consumers' package preferences, (wherein survey results showed that blister pack is the most preferred type of package with 48.90% of the total respondents because of its convenience, safety, handiness, and appearance. 1993-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/16919 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository |
