Description
Summary:Upon the completion of the feasibility study, the proposed product, a sandblasted glass candleholder, proved to be profitable and poses as a very potential business opportunity. The product brand named as Sparklz is constructed from 4 X 2 panels of glass, 1/8 inch thick, and is placed in a pentagon formation on a 5 X 1 wooden base made of yakal. The glass panels will be decorated with various designs, which are customized and will be sandblasted onto the panels. Sparklz shall be packaged in a simple yet unique and elegant small box. On the incorporation of the company, the group will give a total capital contribution of P 20,000 with each of the incorporators contributing P 2,000 each. The proponents have decided to use the assembly line method and have determined that the plant capacity to be at 17 units a week or 68 units a month. The survey conducted by the proponents, have shown a monthly demand of 71 units. The proponents have decided to use cost-plus based pricing strategy, adding the cost of the product to produce to a percentage mark-up to find the selling price. The technical study shows that in order for the company to break even, the proponents have to be able to sell at least 6 units of the product. The financial study shows that the business would yield a profit of roughly P 40,441.43 during the business operation. This would provide for more than a justifiable return on investment.
