Utiliturn Corporation which originated from the product name of the group. The product UTILITURN is a rotating multiple purpose compact disc storage rack. It is multi-purpose in such a way that it has the ability to do more than just store compact discs cases because it has extra functions. The one-foot tall UTILITURN is easy to carry around that users can bring it and place it just about anywhere they want to. It has a mirror, corkboard, plastic picture frames and clock located on its side. The rack has movable dividers for users to adjust their preferred height for storage. The proponents chose to give the product its product name UTILITURN based from the features it provides. It is a unique CD rack that comes in different wallpaper designs. The plant location is at 39 Victoria Street, Magallanes Village, Makati City wherein it is accessible to the proponents. The plant layout, utilities and facilities were carefully examined to determine the suitable workplace for production. The proponents were able to gather data and derive at the market demand of the product through the use of survey questionnaires. The preferences of the target market with regard to price, distribution, product features and promotion were highly considered. Analysis of the data gathered from the respondents showed that there is a market for UTILITURN and the proponents will be able to sell the product to the intended market. The time and motion study helped the proponents to determine the production capacity of the group. The critical path in the production process was also determined through the time and motion study to help the proponents be aware of the critical activities. Proper manpower should be carefully managed to maximize time in the production. From the financing study, the proponents were able to project a net income after tax which resulted to a favorable return on investment. Each proponent made a capital contribution to start the business. Based from the results of the study, the operation of the business will generate profit and it would be a worthwhile venture. The proponents decided to form a corporation while taking into consideration the features and advantages of this type of ownership. The corporation has the juridical personality and legal rights with regard to rule setting and proper regulations necessary for the operation of the business. Each proponent has an assigned function that is vital to the corporation. The corporation considers itself as a socially responsible business entity wherein law will be abided. The corporation also observes proper waste disposal so as not to harm the environment and patronizes locally made raw materials as well. In line with the business operation, the proponents will establish a good labor-management relationship as they are both the employees and employers themselves. The proponents would highly recommend the approval of the business operation of Utiliturn Corporation beginning October 2000/ 2000-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/17144 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository
