The opposite Ends Incorporated is located at Block 2 Lot 7 V. Pacis St., BF Resort Village, Pamplona, Las Piñas City. The Company is the manufacturer of the "Tiklop-a-Bed", which is a personalized bed and chair in one. The company is under the Practicum Program of the Business Management Department of the De La Salle University and is currently conducting a Feasibility Study regarding the "Tiklop-a-Bed".
The Tiklop-A-Bed is a type of sofa bed, for the use of a single person. As a chair, it measures 24 X 30 X 28 . And when converted into a bed, it measures 72 X 24 X 8. It is composed of four parts that namely: the backrest, the seat, the base, and the support. Each part is composed of foam wrapped with a fine cotton printed fabric which serves as the cloth cover.
The Market Study has provided that the primary market would be United Coconut Planters Bank-Makati Office, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas-Quezon City, International Exchange Bank-Makati Office, East West Bank, Rizal Commercial and Banking Corporation-Savings Bank, FAMED, Mitsui and Company Limited, Innodata Philippines Incorporated, San Miguel Foods Incorporated, St. Benedict College, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, New World Renaissance Hotel and Mega Maintenance and Services. The study also provided the market acceptability of the Tiklop-a-Bed is 87.77%. The mark-up for the product is 22.37% and the selling price being P 1850. The corporation applied the Price-Based Pricing Strategy. The company will use flyers and the Internet as promotional tools.
The Technical Study is composed of the manufacturing process of the product and distribution of labor among the workers. The group adapted the assembly line method of production. The workers' ability to manufacture the product would provide the projected output that the company would produce. The cycle time is 44 minutes per unit with a minimum output of 3 units per production day, an average of 11 units per production day and a maximum of 19 units per production day. The efficiency is 96.59%. Break-even in units is 1 and P 1436.14 Break-even in Pesos.
Proper job specification and description are tackled in the Legal and Management Study. Rules and regulation that would provide strong foundation and discipline are clearly taken into consideration during the course of the study. The authorized capital for each incorporator is also provided. Each proponent will subscribe to 260 shares with a par value of P 10 per share. The proposed organizational structure chart is also provided.
In conducting company operations, the Financial Study of the company will be regularly updated regarding changes in financial assumptions, and proper handling of budget. Analysis with regards to profits and expenses as well as the effect of financial ratios are taken into consideration. These profits and incurred expenses are recorded in the company's financial statements that are provided in this chapter. A total project cost of P 25904.64 is given in this chapter. Balance sheet and income statement are also included. The inventory turnover is 6.001 times. The asset turnover is 3.18 times. The return on sales is 0.2589 or 25.89%. The return on assets is 0.8227 or 82.27%. The return on equity is 0.8227%. Return on investment is 4.6415 or 464.15%.
The Socio-Economic Study discusses the social desirability of the Tiklop-a-Bed . Its benefits to society are sighted and its contribution to the improvement of business economy. It also discusses the utilization of raw materials, proper waste disposal, employment contribution, economic help, payment of taxes and student development.
After the conduction of the feasibility study and providing the product's viability to the buying market, the company will sell the product in the market, bringing with them the goal of satisfying consumer needs and wants through the Tiklop-a-Bed . |
