The Monty Hall problem and other probability paradoxes: Two solutions

This thesis concerns two main problems, namely, to provide analytical solutions to three (3) probability paradoxes and to simulate experiments in a computer program that will verify the analytical solutions of the paradoxes. The three (3) probability paradoxes are the Monty Hall Problem, the Birthda...

Description
Summary:This thesis concerns two main problems, namely, to provide analytical solutions to three (3) probability paradoxes and to simulate experiments in a computer program that will verify the analytical solutions of the paradoxes. The three (3) probability paradoxes are the Monty Hall Problem, the Birthday Problem and the Tricky Dice Problem. The computer program simulates repeated experiments on the three paradoxes and the relative frequencies will be compared to the answers obtained using the analytical solution. It is expected that in a large number of simulated experiments, there is no difference between the two values.
