Pineda, Maica P. Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) affects the lives of every individual. Anyone who takes part or makes use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) should be conscious of its development and implementation. This is a corporate social responsibility since licenses impose obligations and liabilities on its users. Being aware will help these individuals to utilize these programs and maximize its use. In today's time, the software industry has evolved to accommodate licenses which give the freedom to use, modify and distribute the software source code through FOSS licenses. With the discovery of FOSS, the need to study the enforceability of its licenses under the Philippine law becomes necessary. This thesis will determine whether or not it is in accordance with the existing laws of the Philippines.
