The power of advertising has been proven and tested to be effective throughout the years. People therefore rely so much on it to help them with their business or other affiliation. Top clients hire the best advertisers so as to come up with unique ideas on how to attract the public with their ads. This is because establishing a connection with the viewing public is the raison d etre' of advertising. Audience impact and retention are vital points in an advertisement's success. Along with these new ideas, came the proliferation of sex in advertisements. Although it is not entirely bad, research and surveys prove that there are indeed several negative effects. People are raising concerns on how the advertisements have become. On the other hand, the advertisers clamor for their right of freedom of speech and expression. Both parties are citizens of the country. The rights and freedom of both cannot be compromised. A common ground must be sought in order to achieve a harmonious balance.
