The local government units' authority in exercising police power in line with regulating the number of business employees

This research is an evaluation of whether or not local governments are allowed to impose limitations of employment within their governing municipalities. Taguig's Ordinance No. 4, series of 2004 was the main reason of doing this research due to the constraint of employment within the city which prohibits not more than thirty percent (30%) of the workforce to be employed. Thus, The Ordinance will be used to test its constitutionality in answering our query. Three topics were formulated in order to stabilize our answer ascertaining from the subject matters of police power, due process, and discrimination. Overall, much of the discussion will dwell on its constitutionality which applies to the three main concepts of this research, as well as its impact to the local government, applicants, and the economy.
