Ot the20 key informants, ten (10) were from advertising/media and ten (10) were from banking. The young urban working women were 35 years old and above. There were five (5) young and five (5) old urban working women from both advertising/media and banking. The researchers used the in-depth interview as the method of gathering the information needed for the study. An interview guide was used as the instrument in the in-depth interview. Results of the study suggest that women's primary motivation for undergoing facial cosmetic surgery is to enhance their physical appearance. However, older women also undergo facial cosmetic surgery not just to enhance features but also because of their desire to look younger. Media also play a vital part and is the primary source of information about facial cosmetic surgery. Television and print advertisements play a role in teaching the minds of women on what types of appearances are attractive and what facial cosmetic surgery is all about. Furthermore, these women believe that the results of the surgery help them increase their self-confidence which leads to sociability. However, no significant changes were made in their relationships with other people.
