Globe Telecom, Inc. has been the fastest-growing telecommunications company in the Philippines, with the mission of transforming and enriching lives through communications. Simplifying technology and speaking in their customers' language, they provide relevant products and services that are most meaningful and useful to their customers including prepaid and postpaid cellular services, Globe broadband, Globe Tattoo, GCash, and Globe Customer Service. The Intern was assigned under the NTG Governance department specifically under Major Capital Expenses (CAPEX) Comptrollership from the Network Technical Group (NTG) which creates and sustains increased value in the corporation for all of its stakeholders by setting forth the principles of appropriate supervision and good management and laying the groundwork or development and implementation of value-creating activities. The two major projects assigned to the intern were the Project Vacuum, which aims to clean-up long outstanding unpaid Purchase Orders (POs) from different vendors to obtain savings including the cost of money to be saved for correct cash flow forecast, and the JPA Pole Listing System, which accounts for the Request to Attach (RTA) files of Globe that validates the payments being made by Globe Telecom for leasing the electric poles of Meralco from year 2007 to 2010.
