Summary: | With the demands and responsibilities that the society is faced with today, the researchers focused on the importance and the implications of Work Life Balance practices to the women employees of REDCONNECT. Under the Work Life Balance practices were Work Hour Balance, Work Place Balance and the different types of leaves which made significant relationships to the level of motivation and commitment of its employees. The researchers conducted a survey among its 55 female employees and an interview with one of REDCONNECT owners. The researchers made use of both correlational and chisquare analysis in determining the significance of the relationship between Work Life Balance practices and the level of motivation and commitment. Motivation was measured through the employees level of satisfaction, level of stress and perception on the Work Life Balance practices. Commitment on the other hand was measured through the employees loyalty, engagement, period of stay at REDCONNECT and their perception as well.
The results stated that motivation affects the employees level of output. Upon their applications of the Work Life Balances being granted, employees are more motivated in doing work tasks. Meanwhile, commitment varies since upon being granted, employees make use of their time either for work or for personal concerns and responsibilities.
As for the recommendations, the researchers suggest for the company to allow its employees to exercise their rights in regards with the Work Life Balance practices as often as possible. The researchers also recommend that the company maximize its resources so as both the company and the employees experience growth and development. |
