Chua, Parker Keanne T. Wu, Ian Herbert C. Yambao, Almyra Lea C. This study determined the factors that make an employee-employer relationship successful among companies under the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) and the Employers Confederation of the Philippine (ECOP) in Metro Manila. The researchers used the Psychological Contract Inventory (PCI) created by Denise Rosseau, which measured various factors that were used to identify the factors of an employee-employer relationship. The researchers were able to survey 80 unionized employees and 17 employers from seven (7) different ECOP membered companies with TUCP membered unions, as well as interviewed the President of ECOP, Edgardo Lacson, and the Deputy Spokesperson of TUCP, Raphael Mapalo. The tally showed that the employers valued loyalty and short-term employment, while the employees valued internal advancement and dynamic performance. The t-test results showed that out of the ten (10) factors of the framework, only the two (2) common factors, benefits and trust, were considered by both employers and employees for a successful relationship. In the interview with the ECOP President and the TUCP spokesperson, both considered open communication or social dialogue as the key factor in having a successful relationship between the employer and his employees. They said that there are different perceptions because of the employees. They said that there are different perceptions because of the employers and employees different needs and wants. The common factors for a successful relationship were already mandated by the law in terms of benefits, like increasing wages, and basic trust and communication in the form of contracts, but these factors still need further development from both sides. 2012-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/17951 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Business Administration, Management, and Operations
