Different forms of adversity are common in the Philippines and the Filipinos, based merely on observation through the social media, showed how they are resilient by overcoming these adversities. Filipinos are known to be resilient and are naturally good in coping easily despite being in the lower social class. With the use of the phenomenological qualitative method, the research described how social class affects the resiliency of Filipinos. Results of the research showed that family, support, religion, and cultivation of emotional strength are the main strengths of Filipinos during natural calamities, and after the processes and outcomes of resilience were determined, results showed that there is no significant difference between how individuals from the three social classes behave during times of adversities, and how they are affected by the adversity. 2014-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/18094 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Psychology |
