Summary: | The study focuses on the work life experiences of factory workers, what they do and experience in their daily lives at work. It also discusses the stressors that they face in their workplace and the coping strategies that they use to alleviate these stressors. This study had a sample of 33 participants, everyone came from factories from Valenzuela City. The researchers made use of a qualitative method of inquiry in order to obtain data. The researchers used interview as their main method of collecting data. The results showed the different tasks that these workers do in their work (machine work, manual stitching, routine jobs, diverse jobs), their stressors (salary concerns, biased supervisors, concerns about the management, physical surroundings, and their contract status), and how they cope with these stressors (bonding with family and co-workers). |
