Hermoso, Joseph E. Jose, Jonrae M. Santos, John Benedict N. Research is essential for the development of the finance field. Such researchers need methods that are viable and accurate to come up with concrete findings. Research methodology in finance has been continuously changing through the years. The group shows the trends, practices, and implications of finance studies that occurred in the two 12-month periods 1998 and 2008. The group investigates these issues with data taken from the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Journal of Financial Research. A coding system, consisting of ten codes starting from code 1 until code 10, is implemented by the group to obtain the category for each article under a certain code. Chi square tests are utilized to determine if there are significant changes for each code and cross tabulations of code 1 to the other remaining codes was done to identify the trends, if any, under each code. Majority of the codes has the same category for the two 12-month periods showing that no significant changes occurred over the ten-year gap [and]. 2009-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/18353 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Research--Finance Research--Economic aspects Finance companies--Philippines Finance and Financial Management
