Description
Summary:This research paper studies the relationship between firm performance and size for different privately-owned and publicly-listed companies here in the Philippines. The research will concentrate on the energy sector classification under the Philippine Stock Exchange. Using multiple regression, the researchers assessed the effects of the different determinants to company performance. The study engages on the question of how these determinants shape firm performance under the economic cycle of expansion, prosperity, contraction and recession. Futhermore, the empirical results show how the electricity, power and water industry is persistent, not showing discontinuity which entails the relative success of the industry in coping with different economic scenarios.
