Rhea Meliza A descriptive study was done on the occupational hazards and related diseases found among the employees/workers of Aji-No-Moto, Inc. located in Barrio Ugong, Pasig, Metro Manila. Among the 445 workers examined, 220 were from the Administrative offices and 225 of which were from production departments namely: manufacturing (fermentation), packing and warehouse departments. Occupational diseases were identified through analyzing the medical records from Jan. 1990 to Dec. 1992 obtained from the clinic and from the questionnaires given to the workers. Furthermore, different parameters of the physical environment such as light intensity, temperature, noise level and relative humidity were measured to examine the conditions on their workplace and for further identification of diseases related to their work. The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that there was no significant difference at = 0.05 in the incidence of diseases among various departments and the different systems affected among the workers. It showed that the respiratory system was the most affected system and the Warehouse department has the highest incidence of diseases among the 4 departments. 1993-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/1183 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Occupational health and safety Occupational diseases Aji-no-moto Incorporated |
