Summary:The morphological characteristics of the seagrasses in Tablas Island, Ferrol Romblon were described. A total of eight (8) species were found belonging to 1 division, 1 class, 1 order, 2 families and 8 genera. These species were Cymodocea rotundata, C. serrulata, Halodule pinifolia, H. uninervis, Syringodium isoetifolium, Enhalus acoroides, Halophila ovalis and Thalassia hemprichii. These species were found from three (3) different sites: Tabok beach, Talisay beach and Ogis beach. The identified seagrasses were found to be useful as food, feeds and as stuffing material.
