Among the parameters measured were: water temperature, pH, secchi disk transparency, depth, dissolved oxygen content, salinity, conductivity, total hardness, total alkalinity and nitrate, orthophosphate and silicate concentration. Primary productivity was determined using the light and dark bottle method. Biomass was also measured as chlorophyll a concentration and total cell count using Sedgewick-rafter method. Phytoplankton were also collected and identified. Fluctuations of different physico-chemical parameters were observed during the collection although the levels were still within the DENR water criteria prescribed for fishery water Class II. The phytoplankton belong to 4 Phyta, 4 classes, 1 subclass, 9 orders, 2 suborders, 23 families, 50 genera and 70 species. Phylum Chrysophyta had the most number of species represented. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/1300 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Phytoplankton--Research Water--Analysis Primary productivity (Biology)Marine flora--Batangas
