Remulla engaged himself in the 1955 Gubernatorial elections with a lot more advantage than Epimaco Velasco. Gov. Remulla's party, partido Magdalo, is a cohesive organization having extensive control over the grassroot level. However, this cohesiveness was undermine by the party's failure to counteract the negative issues raised by FVR-sigaw ng Cavite party. Adding to this was the overconfidence of Magdalo liders that Gov. Remulla would not be defeated. This belief then, resulted to their failure to deliver votes to Gov. Remulla, therefore, the defeat of Gov. Remulla. Finally, the study gives a glimpse of the possible Malacanang intervention in the elections. While the study was not able to substantiate this claim, the study nevertheless tried to explore the issue and then recommends that a further study be conducted on the said elections. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/1321 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Elections--Philippines--Cavite Cavite (Philippines)--Politics and government Voting Politics Practical
