Summary:Myxobacteria are known to be found on decomposing plant materials, barks of trees, dung, and on soil. They are also known to lyse a wide variety of microorganisms. Selecting and using plant litters as source samples, isolation procedures was done. Culture media was prepared to induce fructification for identification purposes.A suspected myxobacterium was isolated but got lost later. At the end of the study, actinomycetes and fungi were observed and isolated.
