Using the Direct Fecal Smear (DFS) Technique, one-hundred fecal samples randomly collected from the residents of Barangay Maambal, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan were examined for the presence of Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, and hookworm infection. The overall prevalence rate of A. lumbricoides was 71.00 percent, 43 (67.19 percent) of these were male and 28 (77.8 percent) were female. On the other hand, mixed infections with A. lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura accounted for 6 percent of the total persons examined. No hookworm infections were noted. Age-wise, ascaris infection were frequently diagnosed in children ages 3-12 years with 41 positive cases (68.33 percent) and then followed by infants ages 6 months to 2 years with 19 positive cases (73.08 percent).
