A study on the effects of varying Cu content and pelletizing pressure on the superconducting B1 1.6 Pb o.4 Sr2 Ca n-1 Cu n Oy ceramics prepared via the melt-quench method
The influence of variation in Cu-content and pelletizing pressure on the X-ray diffraction patterns of B1 1.6Pb0.4Sr2Can-1CunOy ceramics were examined. The fabrication of samples was performed via the melt-quench method. The Cu-content with n=3.5 revealed to have the highest percentage of high-Tc pe...

Summary: | The influence of variation in Cu-content and pelletizing pressure on the X-ray diffraction patterns of B1 1.6Pb0.4Sr2Can-1CunOy ceramics were examined. The fabrication of samples was performed via the melt-quench method. The Cu-content with n=3.5 revealed to have the highest percentage of high-Tc peaks based on the X-ray diffraction data. The low-Tc phase was predominant in all samples. There is no observable trend on the effect of varying pelletizing pressure on the high-Tc phase or low-Tc phase. A tetragonal structure was obtained with the average lattice constants a=3.816742 A, b=3.816742 and c=30.731964 A, using the LSUCR-87 program. |
