Description
Summary:An attempt to apply a 2D-wavelet transform on the digital image of the moon's surface is investigated to determine its effect on the quality of the original image. Dilation and translation of the wavelets are utilized to analyze the digital image of the moon's surface. The pyramidal algorithm was implemented in the programming of the 2D-wavelet transform and 2D-inverse wavelet transform. The reconstructed data was merged with the original data to study the effect on the edge of the original image. Results showed that there is no significant edge enchancement on the original image when using Daubchies wavelet filters.
