Stool samples were randomly collected and a total of one hundred fifty stool samples were obtained. These were brought to the laboratory for analysis using the formalin ether concentration method. Male children had a higher prevalence rate (61 %) than females (48%) for Ascaris lumbricoides. As for Trichuris trichiura and Giardia lambia infections, males (55 % and 6% respectively) also harbored more parasites than females (50 % and 4 % respectively). The over-all prevalence of Ascaris lumbricoides was 55.3 %, Trichuris trichiura was 53% and Giardia lambia was 5 %. Children within less than 1 year old to 3 years old age group had the most number of parasites in terms of Ascaris lumbricoides (67 %), Trichuris trichiura (56 %) and Giardia lambia (9 %) infections. This is followed by the 4-6 years old age group with prevalence rates of 58 %, 52 % and 6 % respectively.
