Summary: | There are innumerable books which tackle the practical applications of Zen Buddhism in various fields as well as professions. Some Zen books talk about driving, motor maintenance, martial arts, management and swordmanship. Many writers have realized the benefits of practicing Zen Buddhism particularly Zazen and Koan. Central in this study will be the practical application of Zen Buddhism to Business Management. Discussions will be made on the common problems encountered in Business Management by the Chief Executive Officers. Paradigm Shift in business management will be compared with the paradox of Zen Koans. These koans will be used as a metaphor for paradigm shifting and as a solution to the problems of the CEO. This is a revolutionary management guide for the CEO. It will help the CEOs to welcome differences and diversities in the workplace. The philosophy of Zen Buddhism will also help the CEOs attain mindfulness in responding to their responsibility. It is hope that this study will not only benefit the CEOs in their professions but also in their personal lives. |
