Description
Summary:This study aims to come up with a method dealing with opportunity evaluation. Most decision groups deal with problem analysis and opportunities are often not considered since it is not part of the system and that there is no step-by-step guide that can be followed in evaluating it. Though there are many methodologies dealing with identifying an opportunity, they are still limited and evaluating such identified opportunity is out of the question. All these ideas helped formulated the problem statement of the study, there is a need to develop a single heuristic and quantitative approach in evaluating an opportunity. Some methodologies dealing with opportunity evaluation is reviewed and their critical factors were identified. These factors are used in the development of the model. And that such model that was developed has its own distinction that's different from the other methodologies. The developed model is validated initially to different systems. Two decision groups were asked to use the model to check whether it is efficient and effective. The outcome will be considered as a further development of the model that it may be easily applied to any system.
