This study generalized the present status of psychological skills training delivered at the Philippine Sports Commission. The characteristics and the factors that lead to the success and failure of the programs were examined. The respondents were chosen according to the present members of the sport psychology unit at the Philippine Sports Commission while the study was being conceptualized. In-depth interview was used to gather information and content analysis was used to analyze the data. The results are that the respondents grouped psychological skills training into different groups and that it falls under two major groups which are arousal management and mental practice, while most of the other psychological skills training fall under both of the categories. Arousal management is a matter of controlling the energy levels of the athlete to achieve his or her best while mental practice is a process of rehearsing a particular movement in sports with the use of the mind.
