Description
Summary:The Design and Development of a Prototypical Resource Page for CCS-Courses (CCS-CourseNet) is a study conducted to determine the course-related information and services which can be made available to the students through faculty members willing to provide these information. In essence, a resource page may also be called a course page which faculty members or lecturers from other countries claim to post in their educational web sites. A resource page is a site in the web wherein important information and services regarding a course can be made available to students. This is where the needs of the students in a course are met in accordance to what a faculty member can put in a site to support the learning needs of his/her students. A resource page for the XEXPERT Course was conceptualized, designed, and developed to give proof that a prototypical page can be created for the benefit of both the faculty members and the students by using the Internet technology. Some of the course-related materials included in the Xexpert prototype are the syllabus, lecture notes, project specifications, and sample exercises. Course services include the following: recommended WWW links related to course, file download, file upload, view grades, site search, bulletin board system, email facility, and web site evaluation by students.
