Executive Summary. This study is concerned with CHA/SE Ventures' Warehousing of SC Johnson & Son, Inc.'s Consumer Products. The problem being addressed is the 50% Inventory Record Accuracy that is currently being experienced by the company. It is a serious and urgent problem because the need for SC Johnson's consumer products to qualify for MRP 11 is becoming impossible with this level of inventory accuracy. The system management and the writer believe that they have significant time and resources to solve this problem. To fully solve the problem, it was recommended that a Two-Phase System improvement Process be done. This solution has the following specifications: (a) have a general design of new forms used, (b) provide a flow diagram of the new and simpler information flow, (c) have definite work assignments for the material handlers, and (d) provide more detailed work/process flow diagrams. This solution is expected to result to an increase of 28,32% increase in profit. This implementation of the recommended solution is proposed to start on September 17, 1998 for the preparation (since it is a Phase-In, Phase-out (transition) and full operations will start on November 05, 1998.
